Common Thread,” an exhibit of paintings and sculptures by Brenda Cirioni and Leslie Zelamsky, will run April 9 through May 10, with a reception from 5 to 9 p.m. April 10 and Artist Talk from 3 to 5 p.m. May 2 at Fountain Street Fine Art, 59 Fountain St., Framingham.

In “Common Thread,” Cirioni and Zelamsky weave stories with their different mark making; layering, scraping, gluing, dripping, covering and exposing until the narrative is complete. Working intuitively yet conscious of their process, they stay true to the narrative that runs through their work — destruction, renewal, impermanence and grace. Both artists have studios at Artspace Maynard.

The Artist Talk will also feature original Americana folk music by the Farewells, Peter and Sam Linanne.
