Frantz Lexy
Through painting, Frantz Lexy explores personal identity, belonging, and humanity’s place in nature and its relationship with technology. Lexy uses personal storytelling as a vehicle to engage contemporary concerns and invites others to find their own narratives through his imagery. Lexy is fascinated with how paradoxical imagery creates tension and compels us to reflect on our immediate reaction. Human figures are recurring motifs in Lexy’s works. He is equally interested in texture and abstraction, and how they play within his landscapes. Lexy’s portfolio is a reflection on the plurality that exists within every individual, and specifically how that relates to people of color.
Frantz Lexy is a self-taught artist and experimentation is a driving force behind his vibrant acrylic paintings. His work has been shown in galleries across Massachusetts. He is a member of the Cambridge Art Association and the Fort Point Arts Community.
